Louise Addison (Howick College) presented at the 2015 statistics teachers’ day. This day was jointly hosted by the Department of Statistics and the Auckland Mathematics Association.
The big surprise for Louise this year was discovering she was teaching Year 13 statistics for the first time听in about 10 years?! Louise shared her resources she designed and used to develop听students鈥� statistical insight that were focused around the idea of 鈥榮urprises鈥� in data. The time series resources used the context of 听baby names, a context that immediately captures students attention!
